ABOUT ME

BEHIND THE PAPERS

Umeet Bhachu, P.Eng., PMP, CMRP, is a registered professional engineer in the province of Alberta, currently serving as a Reliability & Rotating Equipment Engineer at Canadian Natural Resources Limited within their Major Projects division. With a strong background in turbo-machinery design, reliability, and maintenance, he brings extensive experience to his role. Notably, Umeet recently completed a two-year assignment in Krakow, Poland, where he played a pivotal role in project engineering for CNRL's hydrogen expansion unit.

Umeet holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, followed by a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, earned in 2005. He is certified in ISO CAT II vibration analysis, complementing his certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) by PMI and SMRP, respectively. Additionally, Umeet possesses advanced skills in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and fine-tuning machine learning models for data analysis, further enhancing his ability to leverage data-driven insights for optimized engineering solutions.

In his leisure time, Umeet finds solace in playing the guitar. Additionally, he nurtures a profound interest in Eastern astrology and the all things Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and Python Programming.
