Umeet Bhachu, P.Eng., PMP, CMRP, is a Professional Engineer registered in the Province of Alberta, specializing in rotating equipment, turbomachinery, and reliability engineering. He currently serves as a Staff Rotating Equipment Engineer with Pembina Pipeline Corporation, where he provides technical leadership, engineering oversight, and reliability support for critical rotating equipment across major pipeline and midstream assets.

Umeet brings extensive industry experience in turbomachinery design, performance monitoring, maintenance, and reliability-focused engineering. Prior to joining Pembina, he worked with Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) in a Corporate Technical Authority role for Turbomachinery and Rotating Equipment Reliability and Engineering, supporting enterprise-wide technical standards, engineering practices, and complex problem-solving across major projects and operating assets. As part of this role, he completed a two-year international assignment in Kraków, Poland, where he contributed to project engineering activities supporting CNRL’s hydrogen expansion unit and collaborated across multidisciplinary global teams.

He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. His professional certifications include ISO Category II Vibration Analysis, Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), reflecting a strong foundation in both technical engineering and asset reliability management.

In addition to his core engineering expertise, Umeet has developed advanced capabilities in data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, including the application and fine-tuning of machine-learning models for engineering data analysis. These skills enable the integration of data-driven insights into rotating equipment diagnostics, performance optimization, and reliability decision-making.

Outside of his professional work, Umeet enjoys playing the guitar and maintains a strong personal interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Python programming.
